For jerks, rather than high-speed short-pitch jerks, if you move the jig freely at a slow speed without applying line tension when falling, the jig will fall sideways and slide for a long time.
The basic way to operate the rod is to slowly reel it while raising the tip about 30cm and letting the jig have a sliding action.
This method is especially effective when targeting king fish. When jerking up after a slide, the knife edge on the back cuts through the water and the jig swims while darting.
When dropping the jig to the desired depth, if you set the line tension free, the line will be affected by wind and currents, making it more likely to cause trouble with other jigs, so gently pinch the line while applying tension as you drop it. And you won’t miss any unexpected falling bites.
The laser edge back design allows for extremely good drainage, making it difficult to feel the weight when winding.
